Crates & Playpens ยท Guide
How to set up your home for a new dog
A little setup before your dog arrives prevents a lot of chaos after. Think in zones and protect surfaces early.
Create zones
A crate for sleep, a pen or gated room for awake time, and a feeding spot. Clear boundaries help a new dog settle.
Protect surfaces
Waterproof pads in the crate, a mat under the bowls, and a cover on any couch the dog will use.
Dog-proof low zones
Move cords, shoes, and toxic plants out of reach; gate off rooms that aren't ready yet.
